WHO ARE WE?
We are Matt and Jen, and we're trying to spread love and compassion to those that need it by helping them anyway we can. Some things we envision us doing is small construction projects, yard work, filing and organizing, and other minor household maintenance projects.
You can find our complete story on the "Our Story" page, but in the meantime here is the cliff notes version.
In mid-2011 we decided to buy a trailer and cruise the Country for a while, started doing research in the fall, then just before Christmas 2011 an unexpected health issue caused us to change our plans. Four years later... We were ready to try to move on with our lives and decided that after the love and support we received during the health crisis we should try to give back to those in need. We bought an RV, sold most of our possessions, put our house up for sale, and after some delays hit the road in early summer 2016.
We went to Alaska to visit family and friends and replaced Jen's parents' roof, which can be a challenge in Alaska in September. We left Alaska October 1st, 2016, spent a few days with family in Canada. By the end of the year, we were back in Texas to get some things worked out.
In late summer 2017 we hit the road again, with perhaps a bit better plan, follow along as we try to accomplish our mission, as Roll'n Home Helpers.
Mission Statement
To use our skills and experience to provide assistance to those in need throughout small town USA either by personal requests, or through national volunteer organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Volunteers of America, local church outreach programs, and other smaller local organizations.
